PARADISE BARN | Grade II Listed Barn Conversion

Our client purchased this barn as an exposed oak frame (see photo below) which was in need of protection and change of use to preserve this Grade II listed structure. We obtained Listed Building and planning consent for the extension and change of use into a single residential dwelling with new detached garage building..  New structures were inserted into the existing structure providing a contemporary space within an historic environment.  The extension and garage location take inspiration from the original courtyard structures and serve to enclose the private amenity from the public whilst maintaining views out to the countryside.  We also provided construction drawings and worked closely with the Conservation Officer throughout the remedial repairs and new works to the structure.
